Welcome to The Predictor: La Liga Primera Division 2009/10!
Simply use the
sign-up screen
to create your competition account. This competition is split in to 9 monthly competitions.
You can then enter your predictions up until
a hour before the matches are scheduled to be played. Don't worry if you forget
about entering your results, as you will automatically get a 'Lucky Dip'. This
means your results are randomly generated for you. However, Lucky Dip predictions will score less points than played predictions.
The top three predictors will win the prizes at the end of each month when the top scorer(s) for the month is known.
This competition is divided up into 9 separate months from 30th August 2009 to 24th
May 2010:
What you need to do is this:
- Sign-up for an account and fill in your name and nickname etc.
- Fill in the result for each game before the day they are scheduled to start*
- Indicate your joker**
- Fill in who you think will be the top goal scorer of the month. This must be done before the month starts to avoid a random player being selected.
*You can only play a month if you signup before the second week of matches for that month.
**Joker - this means that for this particular match, you can earn double the points
you get. You only get 1 joker each month but you can play it at any time during the month.
Points system:
5 points - correct match result (win/lose/draw)
8 bonus points - correct top goal scorer of the month (added after final game of the month)
The following points do not apply to lucky dips:-
- +1 bonus point if you predict the goals scored for a team (e.g the score is 3-1, but you predicted 3-2. You get the bonus point because you predicted team A to score 3 goals)
- +2 bonus points if you predict a draw but the goals scored is incorrect (e.g the score is 1-1, but you predicted 0-0)
- +5 bonus points - correct match score
At the end of each month, if 1st, 2nd or 3rd place have equal points, the order
will be determined by the least amount of lucky dips done followed by the most correct exact predictions and finally goal difference between predicted & actual goals scored.

You can set-up Private leagues and invite other people or existing players to join your prediction pantheon by entering their email addresses.
This email gives the challenged person instruction of how to join the private league.
There is no upper or lower limits to the amount of people that can join a league and players can be removed or added at anytime.
Scoring is on a match-by-match basis.
When viewing the private league standings table page you can leave messages for other members of your private league and chat interactively if other members are online.

Head-to-head leagues accrued points on a game-week basis.
These leagues are automatically created with 20 players in each.
Each player will play another player twice like teams in a real league (home & away stylee) in 38 fixtures.
A fixture win (more game-week points than your opponent) would give you 3 ‘league points’, a draw 1 point.
